On the Road Again

Flew to AZ last night to pick up the rest of our things in storage and bring them to our new home.

Project # 1

So moving into a new home, for me, always means new projects! Found this used piece of furniture and transformed it into my new catch-all space for purse, datebook, keys, etc. Also custom made the blue drawer to have a space for the junk stuff: batteries, rubber bands, notepads, flashlights and the like.

This thing was gross, but I could see the potential... Before and after...

Today Daddy came in the mail! It's just a stuffed doll version, but Avery loves it! The very first thing she did was take Daddy outside for a ride in her new car.

18 Months!

Time flies when you're having fun! And Avery is a whole bunch of fun right now. She's big into imitating new words and actions. She continues to love outdoor adventures and bike rides. We took a trip to the zoo this afternoon and it was the first time she really took a genuine interest in the animals. So fun! Today at the doctor's she measured 31 in and 21.5 lbs.

I have Avery convinced that the blue truck that drives by our new house everyday is actually the "Music Man." She loves boogeying to his groovy tunes!

Grandma Laurie sends the best gifts! For Easter this year she surprised Avery with a super cute fuzzy backpack that has a little holder for a fuzzy monkey. As you can see, she loved it! Thanks Grandma Laurie!!!

Nita Turns 60!

Last night I attended a surprise party to celebrate Nita's 60th birthday. The Margaritaville-themed event was held at Doug & Laurie's and, man, it was "bitchin" (in Jerry's words)! Although I missed having my handsome hubs there, I stayed busy snapping photos and being dubbed Miss Martini Mixer - apparently I make a mean pear/pomegranate glass of deliciousness!
