Dinner Convo

With a husband deployed and no one but a toddler to talk to over dinner, conversation is a bit limited. These days it mostly consists of Avery using her first sentence over and over - "Where is he?" She asks where Daddy is at least 3 times a day!

I have a fork, Mommy has a fork, where is he, dada. I can see where some adult conversation is needed!!!

You would not beleive how much this looks like my dinner last night... Roast, veges eating together talking about what was on our forks and who's sitting "at the table" (pretend): mom, Grammy, Kenzie and Dad... Avery and Kenz think a lot the same! :)

Don't wish away these priceless conversations, to soon. The importance of what you are communicating goes far beyond mere words. Soon she will be grown up, or so she'll think, and debating with you about what she can and can not do. You will then long for these simple little chats. Cherish these moments, they are treasures, bits of golden nuggets, precious times shared between Mom and Daughter, that will live in your heart forever, Hayley.
